 21/07/2008 The life and times of Britney Spears would give Jeremy Kyle a years worth of material. Let’s be honest, she’s been through the mill a bit. What with the kids, and the weight, and the binges… Well, judging by a report in the Sunday Mirror, Brit’s now biting back with a vengeance.
She’s turned all the crap of the last few years into what sounds like an excellent upcoming album. You know when Bruce Banner goes all green and starts tearing settees apart, crushing cars, and brushing tanks aside like crumbs? Well, Britney’s doing the same… with her mouth!
On a song called ATM, Brit appears to lay into her mum, Lynne. “Hey Mama, I know its cash you seek”, Britney announces, before launching into a chorus of: “You know they treat me like an ATM, but y’all know that I’m too good for ‘em”. Woah!
And Lynne’s not the only one to bear the brunt of Britney’s wrath. Justin Timberlake’s ‘trousersnake’ will be reduced to little more than a tapeworm when he hears new track, Already Bad. “I know you thought you were the first,” sings Brit, “but I had already quenched my thirst, I was already bad”. Sorry Justin, it seems Britney had opened the doors long before you came on the scene…
According to the Sunday Mirror, an ‘industry insider’ (one of those) claimed that: “These tunes will change the way people think about Britney. A lot of people have messed her around over the years and she's bottled up all this anger and now she's just let it all out.” Tantalising stuff indeed.
