PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

Please email lucy@musichqmedia.com if you’re interested in getting involved, cheers!

Festivals set to get nuttier with Fairtrade!
Festivals set to get nuttier with Fairtrade!
21/07/2008
Festivals are nuts. Where else would you find a woman dressed as a fairy, with yesterday’s carrot-juice cocktail and hog-roast encrusted on her frilly top, necking a guy with a moustache like Yosemite Sam and eyes like pizza plates? Well, some of the festivals are set to get even nuttier as the worlds first 100% fair-trade nut company, Liberation Nuts, rolls into town…

Liberation Nuts will be drumming up business at the Secret Garden Festival this coming weekend. We say drumming, because they’re literally bringing African drumming experts along for the ride. Furthermore, festival attendees are invited to join in the madness! AWOOGA!!!

“Whether you jam like an African master or you’re a drumming virgin you can come and tune in to the rhythm”, explains Ilaria Ida, Liberation Foods’ Head of Communications. I’m not a virgin and I can’t drum, but apparently that’s fine; everyone’s invited to get involved. Double AWOOGA!!!

Liberation Foods benefit more than 22,000 families in countries including Malawi, Mozambique, Nicaragua, India, El Salvador, Brazil, Peru and Bolivia. DD

The Liberation Van will be visiting the following festivals this summer:

1) The Secret Garden Festival from 24th -27th July, Cambridgeshire www.secretgardenparty.com
2) Innocent Fete from 2nd - 3rd August, Regent’s Park, London www.innocentvillagefete.com
3) The Shambala Festival from 22nd - 25th August, Northamptonshire www.shambalafestival.org
4) The Thames Festival from 13th – 14th September, London www.thamesfestival.org
