Expect heavy-reverb-fuelled riff-driven indie pop, with an attitude to match. One of London’s premier Hip Hop night’s returns to Canvas for full on boom-bap attack of astronomic proportions. The Doctor’s Order’s have teamed up with Bacardi B-Live to celebrate 11 years of quality releases and downright bad-boi attitude from those masters of true hip hop, soul and all things funk – BBE Records. Pushing up against the doors of Canvas before it shuts its doors for the last time will be a whole host of musical luminaries spanning 4 rooms of general tomfoolery and . One man beat conductor DJ Premier will be showing us why he’s one half of the ultimate NYC pairing, whilst Marley Marl, Mr Thing and The Spin Doctor himself will be firmly planting their pumps to the floor, pulling their caps down low and throwing some gang signs in the air. Possibly. Louie Vega, Osunlade and BBE’s own Pete will be hosting the Kings of House area, whilst the mighty Gilles Peterson, Kon and Ahmir, Phil Asher and Aaron Jerome will be bringing that smooth soul sound to sooth your ears and warm your hearts. Finally, Dimitri from Paris, the legendary Joey Negro and BBE’s Robert Strauss will be taking it back to the days of Studio 54, The Gallery and old school disco dancing in room 4. Bound to be sweat-fest of rump shaking, chest beating rhythms, surely this is best summed up by the words of a certain Clan member: “hardcore hittin’ sound, watch me act bugged, and tear it down!” Nice. 9pm-5am Saturday 1st December, Canvas, Kings Cross Goods Yard, York Way, London, N1 OUZ Tickets: £17.50 adv / £25 door Tickets Available in advance from: www.bbemusic.com / http://www.thedoctorsorders.com / http://www.ticketweb.co.uk
