PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

FRIDAY 8 JUNE: There is set to be one almighty showdown this weekend at The End (London) this weekend when Chew The Fat takes on Fingerlickin’ in one big meaty breakbeat feast. Headliner Hook n Sling makes his debut tonight weighing in with some phat beats from Australia, whilst dirty funksters Slyde bring classics to the main room. Meanwhile, in the lounge anything but lounging will be going on as Eddy Temple Morris takes time out from his groundbreaking XFM show to bring his eclectic offerings to the party. SEASON STARTS 6 JULY: Switch, X-Press 2 and Francois K have been confirmed to appear at Azuli nights in Ibiza this summer. Slam will headline the Opening Party on July 6 at the label’s new home of Space, which has just revealed details of their twelve dates in the White Isle. The night will take place every Friday with an unnamed special guest lined up to closing the parties in September, alongside label head David Piccioni (who will be playing most of the dates with Jo Mills). New venue Bar Azuli is set to open in Ibiza Town this year. SATURDAY 2 JUNE: Chibuku returns to its house roots this month as they bring in one of the world's leading house DJs to Herbal, the legendary Ralph Lawson. Ralph is the man who cranked out the first ever record at Leeds clubbing institution Back to Basics over 15 years ago and is also responsible for house label 20:20 Vision, which he set up in a deserted farmhouse in Yorkshire in the mid-nineties. Seen as a legend in many circles as a DJ and producer, his sound focuses squarely on the present and future, showcasing why he is one of the most forward thinking DJs around. Chibuku's esteemed residents take care of the rest of the venue, providing the soundtrack for one of the UK’s most up for it crowds. SATURDAY 26 MAY: Pendulum and Death In Vegas's Tim Holmes are amongst the headliners for the ultimate music mash up in London this month. Taking place at London's SeOne club, The Remix All-Nighter will host two arenas playing the best in dance and indie. TOUR STARTS THURSDAY 17 MAY: To seek out the UK's most gifted performers to represent the UK in this year's DMC DJ Championships, last year's World title holder DJ Netik will join MC Trip and the legendary Cutmaster Swift on a six date nationwide tour for the final at Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 29. The search will be cranked up a notch this summer as the rules being brought back to basics with only one set of Technics SL1210 MK2 turntables, one mixer with no effects or modifications and only stylus in the Ortofon range allowed per competitor. Previous winners include The Scratch Pervert’s Plus One and BBC 1Xtra's DJ Blakey. SEASON STARTS THURSDAY 21 JUNE: Paul Van Dyk is set to continue his residency at Ibiza’s Amnesia this summer. In Cream’s 12 th year at the forefront of the White Isle’s legendary dance scene, the top DJ occupy the Main Room alongside Eddie Halliwell, Ferry Corsten and Marco V throughout the season. Often voted the world’s number one DJ, Paul Van Dyk will also be launching his new album at the club as well appear at Cream Ibiza’s Birthday Party on August 9. Kicking off on June 21 and ending on September 20, the club is set to play host to the biggest talent in the world as well as allowing fresh talent to shine. Resident Gareth Wyn said: "I can't wait to get back to Ibiza this summer with Cream. The line ups for the main room and terrace are the best I've ever seen, and it's fantastic to be involved in a clubland institution. Add to that Amnesia, arguably the best club in the world, with that dry ice cannon firing full force - this will be another party season to remember. Bring it on!" FRIDAY 6/SATURDAY 7 JULY: 2 Many DJs, Gilles Peterson, Layo & Bushwacka and Sasha are just some of the big names lined up to mark a groundbreaking event in Manchester this summer. Taking place on July 6/7, 'Industrial Resolution' will see the worlds leading DJs and VJs come together to celebrate a visual arts installation and pay tribute to the city’s rich clubland heritage. Manchester International Festival gave the system the go-ahead to allow creative artists from Microchunk and London's The End club to perform on equipment that sports a higher than ever resolution and uses unprecedented technology to project moving images at eight times the resolution of High Definition onto a 40m wide screen. Festival Director Alex Poots said: " Industrial Resolutionwas conceived to pay homage to Manchester’s cultural and musical history, but also to look to the future to see how we can embrace the digital world… This will be the ultimate club night for the original party city." DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist are set to work together, as well as Erol Alkan and Richard Norris. It all happens at the 10,000 capacity Manchester Central (formerly the G-MEX Centre).
